homefortheunfortunate It was all over. With the last organization that threatened his life gone, and the body of the last assassin gone, Hei had found his peace. Such an impossible feat was nothing short of a miracle. Life seemed like his for the taking...if there weren't some problems he had to settle.
Money, escape, a job, and so much more had to be made. Without a moment to lose, he made his move, encountering Homura's parents. Years had passed before a partnership was built, allowing Hei to live comfortably and support the two. Though the biggest challenge remained: helping to raise Homura.
They were going to be gone far more thanks to business trips. He was hesitant. No that wasn't it. More like terrified! He never raised a child before, and was hardly into his late 20s. The closest was Suou and...that did not end well at all. But he had little choice given the huge favor he owed them.
He stopped by their home, knocking on the door. The folks were gone before he could even saw farewell. All he had to go on was that she was a shy person. Not much but he could work with that. His mind raced on how to handle this. Maybe if he just approached this without being a dick. This wasn't survival after all. Just...raising a kid.
...None of that sounded any easier. He just hoped she wasn't a delinquent.
